風乾土與軟陶的差異？如何在兩者間選擇？
如果想玩袖珍，同時以黏土作為創作媒材，那你絕對要先認識這兩種的黏土：風乾土與軟陶，這兩種土也是目前大部分的袖珍玩家在操作的兩大媒材。
在踏入袖珍領域之前，我也像大家一樣在網路上翻翻找找，雖然多多少少會有兩種土的比較，但是！！都在說軟陶的好處，明明風乾樹脂土也很好用的呀！
所以，開設網站的第一篇文章，我想要做一個不同的比較！雖然我是風乾樹脂土玩家，但也有接觸過軟陶，做過不少的作品，因此想用比較客觀的角度，綜合討論兩者間的優缺點，下一篇文章「我在風乾土與軟陶間的選擇」再跟大家分享，我為什麼最後會選擇使用風乾樹脂土，那我們就開始吧～！
風乾土與軟陶比較
首先，簡單的用表格呈現兩者的差異
關於操作與乾燥時間
相信大家看完之後，一定對於軟陶沒有創作上的時間限制非常的心動，我也是一樣！
很多軟陶玩家在介紹軟陶的時候都會說，軟陶非常好入門，由於本身低含水量，所以乾燥的原理並不是風乾，而是高溫烘烤，這正是可以慢慢創作的主要原因。
對於新手來說，第一件作品是決定他是否願意繼續投入的重要因素之一。如果第一個作品做得不錯，就會成為他創作的動力；相反地，如果第一個作品跟預期差太多，則會因為挫敗感而果斷放棄。如果說想要快速獲得成就感，那選擇軟陶能夠讓你快速達成理想中的成就，也就成功進入袖珍黏土創作的圈圈拉！
風乾土短暫的乾燥時間，無論對新手還是老鳥，就成為最大的硬傷。雖然相對便宜又容易取得，但因為操作時間非常短，新手在思考要做什麼、要怎麼做的時候就乾掉了，開始做的時候表面產生裂痕、無法塑形等問題讓人想直接放棄。
但其實換個角度思考，風乾土在陣痛期過後，乾燥時長這個問題也會隨之解決，創作者也可以挑戰更多乾燥前後的變化。
關於質地
說明完大家最在意的乾燥時間問題，再來説説黏土的質地吧！
我自己非常注重在製作過程中的體驗感受，就像表格中所說，軟陶有極高的延展性，也因為這個特性與不會乾燥的原因，軟陶可以變化出非常多種玩法，也讓軟陶創作者可以做出很多風乾土難以達到的事情，像是花條製作等等。
軟陶的高延展性，須在開始創作前經過一段時間的搓揉。軟化前的軟陶，觸感就像是羊羹一樣，Q彈又帶點硬度，用力一掰會產生裂痕橫或斷掉，透過接觸手的溫度且不斷搓揉才能軟化方便使用；而搓揉時間受到軟陶體積不同而有所差異，因此搓揉這段時間只要量一大，就會成為很大的惡夢，軟陶玩家一定會有一台製麵機，透過機械的力量輔助軟化，這樣才不會在做之前就沒力啦！
風乾土就沒有事前準備的問題，想做時就可以馬上開始操作。
由於風乾土種類非常多，也會因為廠商不同質感會有所差異，只要有錢嘗試，或是有事先做足功課，想要什麼質地都可以擁有！但需要注意的是，風乾土在乾燥後會有一定比例的收縮問題，在製作過程中，需要把這個因素考量進去，才不會有成品不符合預期的問題。
關於保存
黏土使用前的保存，軟陶相對於風乾土比較沒有需要注意的事項，只要放在陰涼處，想放多久都不成問題！
至於風乾土，則需要以保鮮膜好好的包起來，為了保險我還會把他們放在密封盒裡面，再放進一張濕紙巾，確保裡面保持濕潤，才能避免一陣子沒用就乾掉了；另外也不能讓保存空間太潮濕，不然還會也發霉的可能喔！
風乾土在乾燥後，由於材質的關係，會有被蟲蛀的危險，如果要避免這種問題，完成作品並完全乾燥後，要記得塗上兩到三層的保護漆，保護作品遠離重重的侵襲，也順便防水防塵。
軟陶由於沒有水分與本身材質的關係，可以永久保存，從有許多人使用軟陶製作餐具、擺飾等等物品，就可以知道軟陶的成品在保存上是完全不用擔心的！
關於上色方式
想要東西做得好，色彩也是非常需要注意的，讓我們來談談兩者在上色時需要注意的地方。
先來談談比較簡單的風乾土，除了一般我們熟悉的有色風乾土，我會使用全白樹脂土來創作，用壓樂利顏料完全掌握想要的顏色。如果風乾土要上色的話，可以使用不同種類的上色方式，像是壓克力顏料、粉彩等等，都能直接使用，無論是要跟黏土混再一起染色，或是塑型後直接上色，都是可以的，非常方便且直觀。
而軟陶則相對麻煩，由於以烤箱硬化的方式，軟陶在創作時是不能讓內部有水分的，壓克力顏料完全無法使用，顏色基本上要使用原本軟陶本身的顏色，因此想要做色彩豐富的作品，就必須購買非常多種顏色；如果要製作像是麵包烘焙後的漸層色彩，只能使用粉彩上色。
